Now in its eleventh year, the week-long Lafayette Summer Music Workshop provides an intimate and inspiring environment for learning and playing jazz. Master classes, improvisation workshops and jazz combos are led by some of the preeminent, professional musicians in the field. The camp is directed by Stanley Middle School music director Bob Athayde and jazz curriculum director Mary Fettig. And kids – middle school, high school and college age – as well as adults have a blast!
LSMW is supported by the Generations in Jazz Foundation, and held at Stanley Middle School in Lafayette. Next year’s camp runs Aug. 2-6, 2010. The bass faculty includes Robb Fisher, Kristin Korb and Glen Richman. But I’m perplexed that the names didn’t pop up for you. Is it possible that you’re looking at an index of posts, rather than the actual faculty listing? If so, simply click on the headline to get the full text.
